Home is where the sheets hang from the window. Where the fire dances in the hearth and where the dog lies in front of it.

Do You Remember?
Do you remember the way they used to smell?
Like flowers in a field or the faint smell of cotton
Do you remember how their hugs feel?
Warm and protective or maybe way too tight?
Do you remember how they used to look?
The color of their eyes? Was it blue, grey green or brown?
Do you remember the way their voice sounds like?
Soft as honey or like a high pitched screech?
Do you remember?
Nothing but peace
Today we went to see the ocean. I saw her everywhere. The wind blew my hair in all directions and the waves where crashing down the shore. Everything we said got carried away as if we were not meant to hear anything other than the sea, the waves and every now and then the sounds of a seagull struggling to keep flying.
There was nothing else but peace.
Remember
Remember
I think
I think I remember
I want to
I really want to remember this
Somehow I don’t
I just wish I remembered
